15 – 21 August

Formed in 2016 through invitation, the Artist♀ international women artists group members have many attributes in common. All have dual careers, some an extension of their art practice, others in a completely separate field, and they are all exhibiting artists. Busy, dynamic, influential women, they are passionate about using their art in ways that express what it is to be living in the contemporary world.

Issues of nature, both human and environmental, weave through these artists works in film, photography, sculpture, painting and installation. They are of a personal, public, and political nature, and are at times expressed through a feminist lens. Artist♀ provides the opportunity for international connection, the sharing of ideas and influences, and a space to collaborate. These artists live and work in the UK, the USA and Australia and are coming together in August 2019 to exhibit their work at Kidogo Arthouse.

Fiona Finlay (London, UK), Marie Larkin (Melbourne, Victoria), Coral Lowry (Perth, WA), Cynthia Larson Richard (Austin, Texas, USA), Wendy Robertson (Perth, WA) Jane Simmonds (London, UK).

Please join us for the opening 15th August 2019 at 6 pm.

Artist talks, panel discussions, interactive painting and some performance will take place at 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th of August.
